Ah, my beloved wellies! They’ve been my steadfast companions through countless adventures on the farm, from mucking out stables and birthing animals to teaching in them and events plus all the ins and outs of life. But it’s not just the farm work that keeps me thankful for the wellies….these wellies also help me navigate the emotional rollercoasters that come with parenting.
As a woman making a stand in the world, I’m not just facing the challenges of parenting and the SEN journey; I’m also showcasing my skills and abilities. With every awareness campaign I undertake, I attract families seeking support and organisations eager to collaborate. Of course, I also seem to draw in a few individuals who prefer to see the world through a rather cloudy lens (I guess they don’t have high enough hills to appreciate the view!)
But my trusty wellies are made for muddy fields and heaps of poo, and they’re still leak-free! So whether I’m stomping through muck or twirling in a pretty dress, or navigating mud being thrown, I stride forward with confidence. My wellies see me through.
Let’s give a shout out to the amazing organisations I partner with. With their numerous protocols and guidelines, they wouldn’t work with me if I didn’t have the qualifications and expertise to back it up. So here’s to my wellies, the unsung heroes of my journey, carrying me through every challenge, one muddy step at a time! 💪🌟
