The Farming Mother year reflection….What a year 2024 has been!!

It’s with a heart full of gratitude and love I want to thank each and everyone one of you for being part of The Farming Mother®️ and The Farming Mother CIC journey this year.

Whether that be visiting the site, attending sessions, glamping, reaching out, connecting or following from afar.

It’s going to be a long one so grab a brew and settle down because this is a tale of celebration, reflections and memories.

It’s with a heart full of gratitude and love I want to thank each and everyone one of you for being part of The Farming Mother®️ and The Farming Mother CIC journey this year.

Without your support we wouldn’t be known for what we do and have such a big impact on so many lives

This year has seen our biggest growth not just financially but in the size of our community, the new site and following but also our credibility and reputation.

We have had many things to celebrate 🙌

⚡️New lifetime home for the farming mother for our home and business (plus all the renovations we have done this year)

Including, landscaping, paddock work, barn renovations, play space, the glamping site, kitchen and bathroom facilities, the drive and walkways and not to mention the sheer amount of brambles!!

We have shoveled so much poo, mud, bark and gravel we should all have beach bodies but we love hot chocolate, cake and mince pies too much 🤣

⚡️We have welcomed so many new animals born at the farm and of course the new baby alpacas

Plus from the spring you will be able to have alpaca afternoon teas and walks to the beach with the girls too!!

⚡️Our training not only of the animals to help support people but ongoing training and connections to improve our services including Keeley becoming one of the very few movement method practitioners in the world with the famous horse boy practitioner programme which is a worldwide movement in providing education and support for SEND children.

Which we will continue our training development with this relationship to be hosting the uk training programmes and also rolling out The Farming Mother Trainings!!

⚡️Keeley also became an approved profiling tool practitioner for the new roll out of the Newley developed tool in helping reduce the waiting times on a diagnosis of autism and adhd which was ran by Cornwall health services. This is a game changer in helping children get the support they deserve.

⚡️Plus further education and training in Sign Language, play therapy, ehcp writing and training plus so many other things

⚡️Launch of a new website, bringing in key team support members

⚡️We have hosted a wedding blessing and birthdays 🎂 which was a true honour and privilege

We have hosted hundreds of people for our SEND inclusive family holidays that helped children and parents reconnected with nature, each other and have a holiday that wasn’t overwhelming and a wonderful experience for them all with the benefits of support and animals.

⚡️Volunteered on numerous projects and panels to help shape the way health and wellbeing services are delivered in Cornwall especially for SEND children and families

One of the biggest projects has been Kernow home start and the steering panel

⚡️Plus became a committee member for the local village to help bring more support to the community

⚡️Had a epic year for grants for our first year of apply for proper grants

🙌Including £5000 from Cornwall community fund (we are super excited to get this project started in January)

Plus numerous donations of time, equipment and materials for the farm projects huge shout out to mays country store who have been a huge support on this.

On top of generating income from our services

We have also seen our fair bit of heart ache with the passing of lambs and goat kids that didn’t quite make it and also our dear old Lulu who we lost last week.

Loosing animals is never easy and it really does take it out of us as a family but we find comfort in the love we gave them and the joy they bring to those we work with

This is going to be even more growth and development on an epic scale!!!!

What’s coming up……

The all new education and support centre will launch in 2025 bring a wonderful space for education, wellbeing and community development for all with its focus on SEND families at the heart of the project

Bring together vital resources and support and connection to services without the long waiting lists including offering the profiling tool assessment and support in helping parents access support and services for SEND children

Our soon to be further developed inclusive educational and wellbeing nature space that will span most of the site opening up a space to bring the community together and provide the gap in services available in the local area and our community give back grow your own area where well working on your wellbeing and mental health will enable us to grow lots of fruit and vegetables to give back to those in the community

Further development of our year round escape for SEND families to stay within our supportive farm

The launch of S.E.N.D help programmes and Sowing the Seeds Of Change programmes

Plus the SEND HELP - support in ehcp and dla guidance application support which Keeley has now undergone further training and certification in!!!
